Code of Conduct

This is the Code of Conduct that you agree to be bound to upon becoming an Australian Women's Mentoring Network (AWMN) member. These terms are subject to change by the AWMN at any time.

As an AWMN member, you are solely responsible for any information contained in your Profile and all of your communications with other AWMN members. By registering as a member, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions below:

  • You must be over the age of 18 at the time of registration
  • You will not post false or misleading information in your profile, or pose as another person.
  • If registering under a Mentoring Membership you will use the AWMN for communication concerning mentoring for career development or work/life balance only, and will not engage in or promote any commercial enterprise through your mentoring profile, or contact members for recruitment, business, personal reasons, or any reason other than that concerning mentoring for professional or personal development.  You must not include websites, email addresses or contact numbers in your mentoring profile as this will be considered an advertisement of a commercial enterprise.
  • If registering as a mentor, any mentoring you provide via the AWMN is strictly on a voluntary basis. You will not ask for or expect payment from your mentees, even if you mentor or coach professionally for a living.
  • Business and Coaching Memberships enable AWMN members to advertise their fee-paying business services.
  • You will not use AWMN to post or transmit material or information which may be deemed by the AWMN as offensive, or politically, morally or culturally inappropriate or sensitive.
  • You will not harass others by continuing to attempt to communicate with someone who has declined to form a mentoring relationship with you or has clearly asked you to cease communications.
  • Information shared and knowledge derived via a mentoring relationship should be kept confidential by all parties concerned by default, unless permission is expressly given by the parties concerned to divulge that information.
  • You will not spam or send junk email via the AWMN.

The AWMN reserves the right to suspend any member who violates these conditions.
