As a business owner a lot of emphasis is put on following a fluid business plan, having an ever-evolving marketing strategy, effective sales techniques and constantly refining the niche, to mention a few of the core aspects. However, there is one other extremely important factor to consider – who are you in your business?

Is this the same person that runs the home or gets the children off to school, most likely not. It is another role, another hat that is worn throughout a day on our journey to gaining a successful business and fulfilling life.

What can you do to maximise who you are without compromising on the quality, the passion and the determination to provide the results to your business?

It starts with one small, one simple step. This small, simple step will actually provide you with an insight into yourself, open the avenue to empowerment and allow you to align your values to the business's values.

It really is a "have to know" situation, isn't it?

After you have set up your goals based on the projections from your business plan, implemented your sales and marketing strategies and pretty well have done all you can to make your business a growing, thriving, living being stop and ask yourself one question "who am I being in my business?"

The answer is not based on a position description, who you manage or the extension of your product or service. It is the essence of you and what you bring to the table.

For some this will be passion and for others it will be within the purpose of detail. For each of us it will be unique. It is for this reason that your business will be different to others in the same industry. It will be for this reason your clients come back to you and not your competitor.

When you know what it is that you bring you have the opportunity of abundantly fulfilling every aspect within these traits. It is this that will give you hope on a bad day; it is this that will give you a reason to celebrate on a good day.

Know who you are in your business and allow it to be the key to your success.
